This Isn’t Just a Break. It’s a Beginning.

On Expedition For Good exists to empower people to step away from the expected and into meaningful journeys of growth, service, and self-discovery.

We support individuals at every stage of their expedition—whether dreaming, planning, or reflecting—by offering resources, community, and connection. Our mission is to help people do good, for themselves and for the world, one courageous expedition at a time.

We live in a culture that rewards speed, achievement, and burnout. But what if success isn’t just about climbing? What if it’s also about pausing, listening, and building something true?

On Expedition is here to challenge the myth that taking time off is indulgent or irresponsible. We believe your time - used intentionally - is your most powerful tool for change.

Why We Exist

“How can I stay on expedition forever?”

That was the question that wouldn’t leave Ashley alone.

Some might say she was on a sabbatical. Maybe even a vacation. But even “break” didn’t feel right. It was something deeper - a pause with purpose. A stretch of time where she stopped climbing long enough to ask, What do I actually want to build?

During that time, Ashley had been working with Amy, her longtime leadership coach - the kind of person who nudges you gently (or not-so-gently) toward the questions that matter. The ones that don’t come with tidy answers.

And in that space, something shifted.

Ashley began mapping her expedition process like a business plan - not for anyone else, just for herself. But when she started sharing glimpses publicly, something unexpected happened: people reached out. Not just with curiosity, but with longing.

They would say things like:

“I need something like this.”
“How did you know where to start?”
“I can’t quit my job, but I need a reset. What do I do?”

And that’s when it clicked.

Most people don’t need a sabbatical - they need a starting point.

They need permission to pause without disappearing. To reconnect without burning it all down.

So Ashley and Amy got to work.

Drawing from their lived experiences and shared belief in thoughtful change, they built On Expedition For Good: a flexible framework, a philosophy, and a community that helps people take time, on purpose.

Because every expedition looks different.

Some take you around the world.

Others take you deeper into your own life.

How On Expedition For Good Began

What matters isn’t where you go.

What matters is that you go.

Meet the Founders

  • Founder

Ashley is an entrepreneur and author of Consultant On Expedition.

After a decade in corporate consulting, Ashley stepped away from the path she spent years climbing. Without a clear plan and with a lot of questions.

Ashley began writing, reflecting, and connecting with others who were navigating similar transitions. What she discovered became the foundation of On Expedition for Good: that clarity doesn’t always come from doing more—it comes from making space to ask better questions.

Today, Ashley helps others step into that space, build meaningful goals, and create personal expeditions that align with who they are and what they care about. She believes expeditions change people—and changed people change the world.

  • Founder

Amy Paro is a seasoned executive coach, facilitator and creator with over a decade of experience empowering leaders, teams, and organizations to think deeply, act strategically, and solve problems creatively.  With a foundation in organizational learning and development, she excels at creating environments where bold ideas and sustainable solutions thrive. Driven by curiosity, a growth mindset, and a passion for meaningful impact, Amy brings an insatiable energy to her work.

Amy’s greatest strength is the art of weaving a collective tapestry of progress—recognizing the value of each individual and uniting their unique contributions toward the shared goals of the business.

Whether through one-on-one coaching, team workshops, thought partnership and consulting or leadership programs, she designs experiences that spark curiosity, challenge assumptions, and inspire meaningful change.

At the heart of her work is a belief in the transformative power of powerful questions. Inquiry isn’t just a tool—it’s a mindset, a way to unlock potential, deepen understanding, and drive bold action.

Our Philosophy

Not all expeditions require a backpack. You don’t need to quit your job or travel the world to reconnect with yourself.

Time off is a tool, not a luxury. When used with intention, it can clarify your purpose and reshape your life.

Community changes everything. We weren’t meant to figure things out alone.

Purpose fuels courage. You don’t need all the answers—you just need to know what matters.
